The Second EU Referendum (2016)

Yes, the UK should have a second referendum on the EU. But only after a proper, informative campaign that is based on facts and reports rather than race.

[I doubt that’s going to happen. Despite the petition exceeding the required numbers needed.]

Here’s some math:

60% vote of 75% turnout = 0.6 x 0.75 = 0.45

i.e. 45% of people is not a simple majority and so another vote should be taken to ensure that the result reflects the opinions and needs of a simple majority of the country.

SO…

Based on the EU referendum:-

51.9% voted Leave of 72.2% turnout = 0.519 x 0.722 = 0.374718

i.e. 37.5% of people have voted one way and the government have decided to use that vote as is.

…But not trigger Article 50 or something deliberately vague. The jury’s out on that one.

The UK government’s handling of the vote isn’t democratic either way you slice it.

Second campaign, second vote. Simple majority. Decisive action based on a mandate.

Is that really too much to ask?

I want to make clear that I was slut shamed by white, British, Socialist, atheists.

Not a single Muslim, NOT A SINGLE ONE, has ever abused me in the streets over what I posted on this site or my relationship site.

Pre-Game

It may be that the woman who harassed me during my time as a volunteer with Stop the War has used my disclosures to talk her way around the things I’ve written.

Fact is, she DID harass me and I have reason to believe she has continued to harass me and slander me to others into 2015.

At some point she may have realised that her judgement of me was too harsh, if she has, she certainly has not apologised to me.

And just because I wrote something positive about Stephen Fry does not mean that there’s a chance of me being gay. His relationship with his husband is consensual. What PH was trying to do was coercion.

And I know exactly why she interfered in my private life.

I will clarify with accuracy my sexuality. Maybe then she can piss off out of my life.

And I will clarify with accuracy the reasons why she has been trying to prove me as gay.

Even if I did swing that way, I’d have better taste.

It’s a lot to write so bear with me.

Interim

The piece I intended to write was not to get one up on anyone.

I wrote something nice about a comedian and some things happened I didn’t like. It became apparent that someone in particular was exerting undue influence via social media.

I have no interest in doing any damage to anyone else’s work. I have moved on to other things and I have no interest in coming back to do anything related to activism.

Creepy things have happened since my last post and I figure it must be some kind of punishment for what I wrote.

You need not have bothered.

Stop. Our lives are on different paths. We are not connected anymore.
